Formula One in a different experience

On the 5th of May, my friend and I decided to watch the Formula One race, but in the one place we both knew would be perfect. During COVID-19, I watched Drive to Survive 1, mainly because I had nothing new to watch (no shade). 2. I was always so curious about the sport that I decided to dive in. Needless to say, I enjoyed the show, and it made me look into Formula One and start to get into its flow.

Remember, I said it started because Jesus's history behind it is rightfully massive. Regardless, I wanted to experience a Formula One race, but I didn’t want it to be somewhere easy to find. Since I’ve gotten to experience exhibitions, my algorithm finally played to my strengths, and thus came the F1 Arcade.

A couple of races caught my eye, and I could experience them later in life. These are Monaco (Because why the hell not), Las Vegas same reason, Singapore, and Miami. Since I have to be realistic, haha se la vie, I couldn’t keep ignoring and pushing the ads from the F1 Arcade any longer (Plus, let’s be honest twas more realistic), so I caved and booked the tickets.

Not knowing what to expect was the best decision; once you enter, you are provided with a wristband to indicate the area where you’re sitting. Since it was my friend’s birthday, we made sure to enjoy ourselves and got the Grandstand seating, which included unlimited drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, unlimited food, unlimited access to the driving simulator (which we never touched, thanks to unlimited drinks), and incredible screens throughout our seating area.

From the moment the race started to after, it was a fantastic experience filled with many F1 fans. The best part was when Lando Noris won because it did not matter which team people supported. It was a collective celebration for his first win! For anyone who loves F1, is a new fan brought in from Drive to Survive, or is just curious, I highly recommend checking out the F1 Arcade.

I have made sure to drop the link to their site. They have one in London and one in Birmingham.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s posts; they are slightly different. Isn’t that the best part of speaking differently? Next week, we will discuss what concerts and games have in common.

Check out my Highlights, which has more footage of the arcade!

See you then.
