I first saw the entrance to this exhibition in December. Granted, with a name like Illusionairs, I felt more research would be required. When I looked it up, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I found some of those images uncomfortable, especially the fish ones. I chose to do it anyway. It’s located in Canary Wharf, a beautiful location, and when you approach it, you can’t help but feel interested in it.
Illusionairs made this experience so the consumer could embark on a journey filled with mesmerising and immersive art pieces that made me rethink humanity. For me, the pieces that stuck out were the humans with chips and computer pieces in their bodies. That made me rethink how humanity and technology can be dangerous. However, it may have been an interesting thought, and the art and how it was done was beautiful.
This multisensory art exhibition paired well. Each room gave you a new perspective of insects, sea creatures, animals, and humans. Managing to touch pieces of the earth that make you wonder, take the research on the ocean, where researchers have only explored 5%. Which means anything is possible.
Just like the movie Inception, which focuses on the mind and the power of our dreams, this exhibition touches on the real and the illusion. Testing the boundaries of what we can see, perceive, and thoughts. I recommend this exhibition to people who enjoy outer space and the images behind it, people who like illusion images or pictures, or if you want to try something new like me.
If you live in the United Kingdom, it is available in Canary Wharf until the 28th of April. Not to fear, though. There will be another exhibition called Entheon in June.
Check out their website below, and I’ll see you next week on a journey to the art of Banksy.
